FROM THE FOREST TO THE SKIN
GENENCARE® XL Sustainability Profile
GENENCARE® XL is a xylitol upcycled from a wood processing side stream. The beech wood raw material is sustainably sourced and and certified Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). We are committed to a circular economy from sourcing to production, and use minimal amounts of energy and chemicals compared to conventional xylitol.
A BENCHMARK FOR SUSTAINABLE XYLITOL
Extracted via catalytic hydrogenation without the use of any solvents, the production of GENENCARE® XL follows the woodbased circular economy concept, unique to IFF.
